Straight answers about Op-Ed, the AI news app that posts.
The questions people put to a search box or an AI assistant before they try a tool like this — answered plainly, one paragraph each, so you can decide quickly. Every answer describes the product as it actually works.
Is it against LinkedIn's rules to use AI to write posts?
No. LinkedIn's policies don't prohibit AI-assisted writing. What LinkedIn's User Agreement and Prohibited Software policy act against is unofficial automation of linkedin.com — browser extensions, bots and scrapers that read or drive your logged-in session. Op-Ed uses neither: it publishes through LinkedIn's official API with your own OAuth sign-in, and a human — you — approves every post before it goes out. The same holds on X, Threads and Bluesky: Op-Ed posts there only through each platform's official API with your own sign-in, never by automating the site.
Can I post to LinkedIn from my phone with AI help?
Yes. Op-Ed is a native app for iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets and foldables, with no desktop dashboard. Each morning it ranks your industry's news into a front page; you pick a story, Opee — the AI assistant inside the app — drafts a post in your voice, you edit and approve it on your phone, and it publishes through LinkedIn's official API — now or at your next scheduled slot. The same approve can carry a version shaped for X, Threads and Bluesky, if you've connected them.
Is there a LinkedIn tool that doesn't need a Chrome extension or my password?
Yes. Op-Ed never asks for your LinkedIn password and installs nothing in your browser. You connect once through LinkedIn's official OAuth sign-in, the same way you'd sign in to any app with LinkedIn, and can disconnect at any time. Because it has no extension, it also can't show personal-profile analytics — LinkedIn's official API doesn't expose them — so the app links you to LinkedIn's own analytics page instead. The X, Threads and Bluesky connections work the same way — each is that platform's own sign-in, with no extension and no password, and you can disconnect any of them in the app.
What is Op-Ed?
Op-Ed is a news aggregator app like no other. Every morning AI ranks your sources, Google News and live TV channels into one feed for your industry, role and topics, and the app helps you turn any article into a post in your own voice for LinkedIn, X, Threads and Bluesky. Opee, the app's AI assistant, does the research and the first draft and shapes a version for each platform; you read, edit and approve, once, for all of them. Nothing is published without your approval. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android phones, tablets and foldables, is made by FeedAssist SP LLC-FZ in Dubai, and is currently in early access ahead of its App Store and Google Play release.
Does Op-Ed post to LinkedIn, X, Threads or Bluesky automatically?
No — by design. Every draft waits for you. You can approve it as-is, edit it, ask for a rewrite, add an image, or reject it for a fresh draft. Only when you tap publish does it go to LinkedIn — and to X, Threads or Bluesky if you chose them — either immediately or at your next scheduled slot. If you do nothing, nothing is posted.
Which social platforms can Op-Ed post to?
LinkedIn, X, Threads and Bluesky. Each is connected with its own official sign-in (OAuth); Op-Ed never sees a password and installs nothing in your browser. Your LinkedIn post is the master, and Opee shapes a version for each of the others within its limits — 280 characters on X, 500 on Threads, 300 on Bluesky. The last page of Make a post shows every version side by side: post one, post all, or re-edit, and each version waits for your approval. A platform you haven't connected is simply left out.
Will my posts sound like they were written by AI?
They're written to sound like you. You describe your persona and tone, or import your voice from your own past posts — a LinkedIn data export, or the X, Threads or Bluesky account you connected — and every draft is written to match. Drafts vary their length, structure and phrasing the way a real writer does, and every edit and approval teaches the app which angles work for you. You always see each version exactly as it will appear on its platform before it goes out.
Can I use Op-Ed just to read the news, without posting?
Yes. Half of Op-Ed is a news reader built around your beat: your own sources, blogs, YouTube channels and Google News searches, ranked each morning into a personal front page, plus 50+ live 24-hour news channels playing inside the app. The daily briefing stays free after the trial. Post only when a story earns your take.
How much does Op-Ed cost?
Op-Ed is free for 14 days, no card needed. After that, in USD: Plus is $14.99/month ($149.99/year) with 10 published posts a month, unlimited sources and topics and the full daily briefing; Pro is $19.99/month ($199.99/year) with unlimited posts; Team is $74.99/month ($749.99/year) for five Pro seats. It's billed through the App Store or Google Play, which show your exact local price, and you can cancel any time in your subscription settings.
Which AI models does Op-Ed use?
Five models from three frontier labs, each on the job it does best. Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 writes your drafts on Plus, Pro and Team; Claude Haiku 5.5 writes on the free trial, shapes the X, Threads and Bluesky versions of each post and handles Opee's quick replies; Claude Sonnet 5.5 ranks your feed every morning and does Opee's web research. OpenAI's GPT Image 2 paints post images and wallpapers on every plan, and Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image is the alternative image engine on Pro and the stand-in when OpenAI is down. That is what runs in October 2026; we move to newer versions as the labs ship them. The models draft; they never publish.
Who makes Op-Ed, and what happens to my data?
Op-Ed is made by FeedAssist SP LLC-FZ, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Your LinkedIn, X, Threads and Bluesky tokens are encrypted at rest and used for one purpose: publishing posts you've approved. Your data is never sold. You can delete your account and everything attached to it at any time from the app's settings, or at feedassist.ai/delete-account.html.
Who is Opee, and can I talk to her?
Opee is the AI assistant inside the Op-Ed app — one assistant, with her own page. She reads your briefing, researches on the web, drafts posts in your voice and asks before anything is published. She writes the first draft of a post, runs "Interview me" (four questions, then a post from your answers — typed, or spoken with each question asked aloud), plans your posting week and reviews it. You can also simply talk to her: Ask, on Pro, is a hands-free conversation — say "a repost on Monday the 5th and a carousel every Friday in October", "open Sky News" or "what's in the archive about AI?" — and Opee answers out loud and reads back anything that would change your calendar before it is saved. On Plus, Dictate your plan on the Schedule page does the scheduling part. Neither lets her publish: everything she writes waits for your approval. Under the hood she is powered by Anthropic's Claude models, with OpenAI and Google's Gemini for images.
Does Op-Ed work on iPad, Android tablets and foldable phones?
Yes. One account, the same newsroom on every screen. On iPhone and Android phones Op-Ed lays out like a phone app. On iPad, Android tablets and open foldables (Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, Pixel Fold and similar) it opens into two columns when held sideways — the front page or the calendar on the left, the story or Opee's page on the right — and folds back to a single column when you close the phone. Live TV channels keep playing through a rotation and can go full screen on a tablet. iPad supports Split View and Stage Manager.
Is Op-Ed available now?
